Anthropologists and scientists have studied the human evolutionary behavior of humans, starting from the very beginning to now. Recent studies have shown that humans have caused a negative imprint on our climate. Everyone has heard of climate change, but anthropologists are putting a different perspective on it. Humans have been on earth for just a sliver of time, but yet we have caused catastrophic changes to our plant and the climate. This is called The Anthropocene, and it might be too late to fix the damage.
The Anthropocene is usually referred to as a new geological age. This new age started when humans created a devastating impact on the planet. Subtle changes have occurred over time. This includes detrimental damage to marine life as well as ecosystems and even the water cycle. However, one of the most profound changes are extreme meteorological disasters and changes in climate. As the population of humans has grown to 7 billion we have left our mark on the world. We have cut down mass areas of forests to build cities and homes. The carbon dioxide from factories has resulted in the planet warming up. This is a gradual change that may not be noticeable within one's lifetime. But, with careful observations scientists have shown proof of this, and it's only going to get worse.
You might be asking yourself, how can I do my part to reduce further damage? First, you have to have the mentality that one person can make a difference. Walk, bike or take the bus instead of driving to work. Pick up trash and set up a compost in your yard, reduce your carbon footprint. Little changes like this can have an influential chain reaction on other people. Just like climate change being a slow gradual change, we too can make a change that will slowly, but surely save our future and planet; for you, me and us.
These thumbnails sketches are very detailed and well planned out. It is very clear what message is trying to be portrayed. Each thumbnail has a description, colors chosen and where a website link will be placed.
ReplyDeleteMichael - please make sure that your blog ONLY has posts from COM322 (as mentioned to you before). As far as the thumbnails, they are all good to communicate your topic; make sure to indicate what the Pantone colors are as demo-ed in class, not merely listing them underneath. And make sure you have the actual Pantone numbers, not just “Green, Blue, Black.” Please review the videos on color as a friendly reminder. The last thumbnail (with the dominos) is the strongest - let's go with this one! And if you have any questions - head to discussions or personally send me an email via My Messages. : )
